Through our work with businesses and community partners creating habitats for pollinators Apicultural has secured a number of awards.

Our delicious London Honeys have also scooped a number of awards and regularly secure 'Best Urban Honey' at the National Honey Show.

Here are some of our recent achievements.

2024 EDIE Awards

We were delighted to have been recognised and shortlisted for the 'Nature and Biodiversity Project of the Year Award. We were among 9 companies from around the globe shortlisted for this prestigious award which was won by Ovo Foundation and Earthwatch Europe for their 'Tony Forests' project. Our client Nomura International nominated us for this award for the Nature Positive work we have done for theior company.

2023 Pro-Landscaper Biodiversity Awards

Our fantastic work delivering nature positive outcomes for our Client Nomura International was recognised by the landscaping industry when we were shortlisted in the Biodiversity Awards in the 'Best maintenance' category. We were recognised for our nature first approach to managing their green roof, biodiversity enhancements and biological monitoring. In a truly David vs Goliath competition we were shortlisted against 4 other companies all of which were huge multi million pound a year businesses and lost out on first place to £56 Million a year Nurture Landscapes Group. As a small business with an annual turnover of less than £100,000 a year we were really proud to have been shortlisted.

Our Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Honey was awarded a gold star in the 2022 Great Taste Awards in recognition as an excellent food product which stands out among competitors. This is one of the most highly coveted awards in the food industry.

2019 DEFRA 'Bees Needs Award.'

Our partnership with St Marys Secret Garden secured an award for our work delivering biodiversity improvements on the Nomura 11th floor green roof in the City of London.

The improvements we delivered created nesting habitat for solitary bees, lead to a substantial increase in flower abundance and diversity creating more pollen and nectar for pollinators. This has resulted in a 90 fold increase in Bumblebees using the roof.
